The food wasn't bad. It just wasn't exactly good. And, it definitely wasn't something I had wanted to spend hundreds of dollars on.
Lydia's is great in that it hasn't changed in fifty years. The decor and service will take you back to a time when your parents (grandparents?) were your age.
Excellent food and service. My wife Kendra and I have always loved this place and go out of our way to eat here when we are in town. My only complaint would be the decor could use a serious upgrade. I know they try to go for the retro look but I don't know if it's my favorite look. Excellent experience.
Amazing place, plenty of food & lots of drink selections. Family owned, they make you feel like home away home.
Lydia's is terrible in that it hasn't changed in fifty years. Culinary techniques change, adapt, and improve. People's tastes and expectations in restaurant quality also change. Lydia's has retained the same lifeless menu. Overcooked ravioli, buttered "spaghetti", and unseasoned main courses are what you can expect from here. Apparently there was a shortage of salt in the mid-1900's.
Lydia's is awesome, rib and chop house down the street should send their wait staff and cooks to Lydia's for lessons in customer service and food preparation.
Fancy af. They have allot of sides along with your food. Beatles is there main choice of music.
