I'm a x resident there therapist are good some staff are good but that place is hell. I am not able to play football any more .i will never recommend Acadia as a treatment Center . Do not take your kids there .
Very unprofessional. My therapist was telling other residents personal information about me, violating hippapolicy. They refused to allow interaction at the new co-ed activities and they were very rude. The CEO did not take any situation I found upsetting seriously. The nurses did a good job passing out medication, but she almost gave me someone else's medication multiple times and then forced me to take it at one point. I pointed it out that the medication wasn't mine and she had tried to say I was refusing medication. The privacy of residents gets invaded on a daily basis even if they aren't on any precautions. The de-escalation is supposed to be 90% and the restraints at 10%. Staff Sheri Falcon, Michelle O, and a few others atogonise the residents until they are to the point they have to be restrained because they "like restraints." They use 10%-0% de-escalation and 90% restraints. On the phase outings, we weren't able to interact and when we were, there was very little opportunity to interact at all. The food gave me really bad stomach aches and was always cold/flies had been sitting on it. The shampoo made my scalp bleed and when I told staff, they had responded with "at least you get shampoo." I saw my therapist 3 times out of the 2 months I was there. The first time was a few days after I was admitted. The second time was when I had family therapy and my therapist, Wendie, lied to my father, telling him I tried to kick down the boys hall doors and was snorting my pills. Then she refused me of my charts. Which you can only legally deny a resident of the medical charts. Not the normal every day charts. Acadia Montana is very unprofessional and the service is awful.
Well i wrote a review a long time ago, but i guess it was too truthful to post on the reviews list, so i will touch on some of the less graphic scenes in Acadia. I spent 6 months in here and hated it, the staff are disrespectful and it is actually a very unsafe environment to be in. I was the biggest kid there and i still had problems sleeping at night. The food is horrible and it was just a very bad experience. I do not recommend any family to sent their children here, it leaves mental and literal scars, there are fights almost everyday and some staff try to provoke them for entertainment. Acadia is not a good choice for your child.
I was there as a child when i was 7 and was sent back to that hell hole 3 times for 6 months at a time, (2005-2007) the staff were very rude and often provoked fights in the unit i was in.
Would not allow parents to talk their children. Lied to .
please keep your children away
the staff are corrupt to the point i would not call them human.
i had a ruptured appendix and they refused to send me to get medical help
at one point i recall it being called rivendell or something then i got pulled out and then sent back again and it was changed to bpc or bph or something then the final time it was called acadia.
im 19 years old now and the emotional scars and the trauma i experienced bother me even today. please for the love of all things holy keep your children away from this dark place, they went through name changes every time my mother would file lawsuit against the neglect.
