Reasonable selection, I've always found myself waiting a little while in certain areas for help though (knives/firearms on my most recent experience). Prices seem a little high unless on sale
Most of the time when I go in this store the staff are friendly and helpful if I need them to be. I do go in there often just to browse at the firearms, as I did this week. There happened to be a newer guy working the gun counter (I say newer because I've never seen him before) and after he initially asked if I needed help finding anything my response was no I'm just here to browse today but I will let you know if I need any help. He then proceeded to follow me around picking up every high dollar oddball gun he could, from a SAW to a P90 to an MP5, and trying to make a sales pitch to me about why I should spend over $1000 on one of these guns that I expressed no interest in, do not want, and do not need. Even after I explained to him that I am not really a modern military style gun guy and that I preferred lever actions, he still tried to sell me these types of guns. Most of the older staff here is smart friendly and knowledgeable. This guy however was pushy enough without the necessary knowledge to back it up that I will not browse the store if I see him in it again.
Wonderful store. All employees were very helpful. Found exactly what I needed for my grandson that is starting crosscountry track in school this year. When I went to school you had 1 pair of sneakers for everything you did. And those were converse sneakers. Now you need a pair for running and a pair for basketball and another pair to be super cool. Anyway, the employees at Bob's knew exactly what I needed.
For a small town sporting good store this place has everything. Pretty comparable to major box stores, and very well-stocked.
In the past I have had a rough experience with this Bob Wards location. Lately though the experience has been wonderful. Good selection of winter equipment and good sales. Still need a bigger store but I have to give them credit for stepping up their game.
