After an awful experience at a shelter in Anaconda, we drove to this shelter on a whim and found a lovely pup we ended up adopting. Inside and outside looked a bit run down (as is the case with many county shelters so I won't hold it against them) but the staff was super nice and knew each dog very well. We applied and they said they needed a few days for her spay scar to heal up and test her with a few things, but they updated us as soon as she was cleared. When we went to pick her up they went over all the paperwork in detail, microchipped her, and even gave us a Christmas collar and leash.
They never answer their phone, and make adopting a real pain in the ass, 3 day waiting list? I went out of town and got a cat same day.
She was found as a stray a month prior to us bringing her home but the staff had clearly taken the time to try and house train and teach her basic commands such as sit in her short time at the shelter. We've had zero issues with her interactions with other dogs and humans--it's very clear the shelter workers took the time to work with her and the result is an absolutely fantastic pup.
I was in with my kids to see the animals. I was looking a dog that I thought would be a great Connect to my husband. The lady running around with the ear covers to protect from the noise was rude the hole time I was there. I realize it's good to not let children put fingers in the cage. However I'm not a child. After getting to know the dog we started to get. Comfortable with each other enough for the dog to put his body against the cage for some affection. I've been around animals my whole life and no expert but I understand when a dog needs affection I believe the lady when I had an adoption out of me that day if she would've approached me differently. Instead of yelling at me to get my fingers are like a child all she would've had to say was would you like to get to know his dog better. Simple approaches in life make things easier than those of rude unhappy people. I will never adopt from this animal shelter and I feel very sorry for the animals
They never answer the phone.
The staff was friendly and care very much about the animals there, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt.
Is 9 years old and Willy is 11 years old. We miss both of you very much. I would give everything l have to get them both back home with us. But we know that will never happen. Because who is running the shelter here in butte Mt. I wish everyday I never gave up my dogs to that place. I have only seen them once in 2 months. And I was told not to come back there to see them. We pray every night that we can get them back but no luck. I know that I made a mistake giving up my dogs. I really want both of them home again. We love them very much. And we also love them. It has been killing us everyday since they were taken .By the animal control man. They have been gone since July 19 2017.of this year.l think the animal shelter here in butte should be close the people who work there are really rude. All I want is my two dogs back Willy and Toby. Home with me and my husband.
I had my two dogs pick up 2 months ago. And the shelter here still have my 2 dogs I gave up. After they left my home with my dogs.l tryed to get them to bring me my 2 dogs back and was told no. We really want them both back home with us. Toby and Willy are their names Toby
