The food was very good... But the service terrible. Only 1 of our 4 meals was actually what was ordered, the rest were all mixed up and messed up, added toppings, missing toppings. One burger had a large piece of aluminum foil. We asked to speak to the manager to provide feedback, he refused to come see us so we went to him. He was incredibly defensive from the get-go, said our orders were too complicated (4 burger meals, really?), the food was delicious (mine was the only correct meal)... But customer service and management, TERRIBLE.
The food was very good but the service was so incredibly slow.
We stumbled onto this place on accident, but will definitely plan to seek it out the next time we're in town.
My wife and I went there for our date night 7/7/2017. We both ordered the cheeseburger with french fries( very awesome), this was our visit to Freds Mesquite Grill and it was very nice. My wife and I sat out on the patio area so we could be comfortable, atmosphere was casual and very quiet, we got there before the dinner hour. Our waitress and the staff at Fred's was very nice, our waitress bought out a bowl of water for my guide dog. We told the staff there that we would be back next Saturday 7/15/2017, when our waitress brought us our food it was very tasty and cooked the way we wanted them. Thank you to our waitress and all the staff at Fred's.
Our waitress was very friendly, and since we were there at a slow time of day she even took some time to chat with us about Butte. Great service that made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
We ordered both versions of the chicken sandwich (BBQ and Teriyaki). They were absolutely delicious. My teriyaki chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich that I've had in more than 10 years. The breast was large and very obviously fresh, grilled to perfection. The seasoning and sauce were tasty but didn't dominate the flavor of the meat. The roll was lightly toasted and buttered and quite lovely. I ordered the onion rings as my side; they were probably the best I've ever had, period. Home made batter on fresh-cut onion, lightly deep fried. Delicious and not too greasy. Would definitely recommend.
If you like Mesquite BBQ, this is the place. I love the onion rings. More a local place, a local secret, the best find in Butte for casual dining, lunch or dinner.
