I personally love the entire atmosphere of Thompson park...a little slice of heaven right out Buttes back door, there are hiking trails everywhere and the peace is absolute bliss!

Great place to get out of town quick. Used to be a campground, not any more. Nice quiet and clean place to take the family for a picnic. This place closes at 9:00PM so remember to be gone by then, the gates lock.
