Great trails and some history too along the Milwaukee Road!
Great for easy hiking, picnicking, and folfing. The main hiking trail is the old Milwaukee railroad so it is an almost flat wide trail. From sagebrush glasses you can walk to 2 tunnels in less then 2 miles.
Great day place for getting together with friends
Great place for trail running. Stay along the old railroad if you're a beginner or take the harder trails if you're advanced. Great for picnics and dog walks too.
A day use site that offers good parking for access to picnic tables, tail heads, and a frisbee golf course. Early enough in the day one can stumble across deer, elk, coyote, and moose (I can verify those myself). Others have very rarely spotted a big cat and there is signage about bears as well but I've never in twenty years heard of one in the area.
