My husband and I went to Perkins today for lunch . I had the double catch cod with rice substituted rice for the the jumbo shrimp. The cod tasted fresh, was flakey, and nice and hot. My husband had the open face turkey platter. It looked a lot better than normal. The presentation had some good effort behind it. His plate was hot and so was the food. For frozen cod I was surprised at the quality.and taste. Our. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place for most days. Like any other restaurant it has its bad days and good days. The manager in the past has been more than willing to work with customers complaints in a friendly manner. I think with this place you just have to be willing to say somthing if your not happy with your food, and they will be more than willing to make it right!
Do not order the Chicken Pot Pie. Looked great, but it tasted really odd and musty. The chicken had a weird texture - like it was canned or processed. Not good - blech.
Same good food as you find at any other Perkins in any state. That's why we eat there when we're driving through. And it's attached to the Best Western hotel.
Open 24 hour Friday and Saturday. Stayed at the hotel next door and just wanted a quick and lite meal. They had 4 soups on the menu, but only had one in stock. Also overheard the waitress tell another customer that they only had one turkey burger left. No tuna so I couldn't ask for that in a sandwich. I ended up with a somewhat wilted and not cold salad. By the end of eating it I was sick, thankfully I was near a bathroom. Hands down the worst resteraunt experience I've ever had.
My boys and I enjoyed this Perkins as it is attached to the Best Western we stayed in. The staff was very friendly. Decent food. I would recommend this restaurant.
